What is your current role and what are your main responsibilities?
I serve as Managing Partner at Ostojic Law Group and Of Counsel at Amy G Injury Firm. My main responsibilities include leading our legal team, advocating for clients in personal injury cases—including car accidents, catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, and wrongful death—and ensuring our firm maintains the highest standards of client service.
What three words would you use to describe yourself?
Dedicated, Compassionate, and Loyal.
Please share a brief overview of your career path and how you got to where you are today, including what inspired you to pursue a career in law.
I began practicing law in 1985 and have dedicated nearly four decades to a complex multi-faceted litigation practice, advocating for clients throughout the United States and internationally. For almost a decade, I represented individuals who were charged before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Simultaneously, I grew the Ostojic Law Group to reflect my values of compassionate advocacy and relentless pursuit of justice representing individuals and corporations alike.
Who has had the greatest influence on your professional development, and how?
My partners and colleagues have had the greatest influence on my professional development. They’ve inspired me to be better, challenge myself, and think outside the box. Their unique perspectives and willingness to push boundaries have shaped my approach to complex cases and leadership. The collaborative environment we’ve built encourages innovation and excellence, which has been instrumental in my growth as both an advocate and managing partner.

What skills or qualities do you believe are most important for success in the legal profession?
Empathy, integrity, thorough preparation, strong communication skills, tenacity, leadership, and cultural competence. Understanding clients from diverse backgrounds and breaking down language barriers is essential to effective representation.
What are some of your most significant professional achievements?
I’ve successfully recovered millions of dollars for clients, including seven- and eight-figure settlements in complex personal injury cases, and protected hundreds of companies from frivolous claims. Also, building Ostojic Law Group into a respected firm serving clients nationwide is one of my proudest accomplishments. I’m honored to have received the prestigious Czar Dušan Award for my contributions to the legal profession and community, and I served as past national president of the Serbian Bar Association of America.
What aspects of your work do you find most fulfilling?
Seeing the tangible difference I make in clients’ lives—whether helping them secure resources for recovery or bringing closure to families. As managing partner, I also find fulfillment in mentoring the next generation of trial lawyers and serving clients from Serbia and Montenegro.
What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Always prepare as if you’re going to trial. Even if most cases settle, trial-level preparation builds the strongest position for your client and shows opposing counsel you’re serious. This philosophy is central to how I’ve built and manage our firm.
How do you balance your professional and personal life?
I’m blessed to be a devoted husband, father of two, and proud grandfather of three—my family keeps me grounded. I make time for golf, thoroughbred horse racing (my family owns horses at Gulfstream Park), following sports, and traveling.
What do you hope to get out of the Serbian Attorney Association?
I hope to assist in any manner possible and continue strengthening bonds within our legal community while supporting fellow Serbian attorneys’ professional development. Having served as past national president of the Serbian Bar Association of America, I want to contribute my experience to help younger attorneys build successful practices and navigate their careers. The association bridges our heritage and profession, and I’m committed to helping it serve members effectively while advancing our collective interests in serving our community.
